I have done it in Californias Disney Land ..They dont even check as long as it scans..One year I did buy a ticket to much for Sea World out in San Diego No wait…I bought 1 adult ticket to much when I was supposed to get a kids so I took to the customer service and they did exchange because there was a 15 dollar difference so they gave me back the difference and was able to buy an extra soda..lol expensive..

i dont see why not theyll be making more money off of it with an adult ticket. try calling disney world and make an inquiry about that.

no need for an exchange. you sure can use an adult ticket for a child that is 9 and under. but you would not be able to use a childs ticket for an adult. 10

    EDIT
stitchkingdomcom children are too subject to the finger scan. i know this cuz my 9 year old niece went to disney world with me and she had to do it. all tickets are subject to it. the odd thing that i dont understand is how come the first day i went to hollywood studios and had to scan my finger but the next day at epcot i didnt and then at magic kingdom i did. i think their system is a little screwy.

If you purchase the tickets ahead of time and then you go to use an adult ticket for a child when entering the park they wont notice and it will be fine.

However if youre trying to use a previously used adult ticket for a child then its not going to work. Within the past few years they have installed a biometric scan on your finger for when youre entering the park. Therefore it someone elses fingerprint is connected to the ticket then there is no way its going to work for the child using that ticket or for any other person.

You cant exchange it for a childs ticket Disney wont give you money back you can only upgrade where it costs you more money.

The child can use an adult ticket however adult tickets are subject to using the biometric finger scan whereas child tickets are not. So for a 7 year old it probably wont be an issue. For a 4 year old it probably will be although technically the scan requirement can be overided as well as disabled

I think the person responding above might have mixed up tickets which would explain why a child had to scan and an adult didnt tickets purchased together are linked together again children do not have to scan. The scanner is about 4 feet off the ground imagine a bunch of 3 year olds trying to use them let alone get the concept.
